The concept is to have a vibrant community website that caters to the interests of skateboarders. The goal is to combine the best of Facebook connectivity with You Tube style video upload capability. Fossil Graphics set up and configured the server to handle huge amounts of bandwidth and storage. Another component of the site is called The Stoke Magazine and will feature latest news of interest to the community. Fossil Graphics produced the graphics and a stylish, easy to read framework.
The multimedia capabilities are tremendous and are at the core of the SkateFix needs for the site. It wasn't good enough to allow users to link to other video sites like You Tube. The functionality had to be available that would allow users to upload their own videos from their own cameras and share them with other skateboarders.

On one end, there are scads of free stuff everywhere, from free templates as part of your hosting to free CMS software. On the other end are the uber complex, custom websites that only movie studios seem to be able to afford.
